About Mike

Athlete. Corporate leader. Comedian. Advocate.

Born without his right hand, Mike appeared as Danny in The Trial of Billy Jack at age nine, then became the first one-handed bowler to join the Professional Bowlers Association, finishing 2nd at the 1991 Southwestern Open.

He spent years at Discount Tire, where he built the company’s eBusiness presence and launched its social media. After beating cancer in 2016, he left corporate life to serve the limb loss community, founding Joe & Marie Bolland’s Helping Hands to help amputees get prosthetics.
